Library Journal is offering free one year subscriptions (that’s 20 issues) to library science majors and faculty!

Library Journal, which was founded in 1876 by none other than Melvil Dewey, offers up library news along with feature stories and reviews of books, materials and equipment. It also publishes a yearly report on MLS programs covering the number of graduates by program, the areas in which they seek employment and the range of salaries obtained.

Archived issues are available online if you’d like to peruse the contents.

This is an amazing offer, as a regular subscription costs $149.99. All you have to do is print out the following form and mail or fax it in with a copy of your student ID:

They had this special last year, for some reason I didn’t get my issues. Did anybody else have problems? I’m going to try again this year.
